# Why should I use a Gathering template?
## Use a Gathering template to save time during your event planning process.
In addition to having access to how-to instructions for the templated events you’ll also be just a few clicks away from setting the event live for your residents in the Cobu app and a day away from receiving event promotion materials.
The Gathering templates are pre-populated with an event title, description, and image so you’ll just need to adjust the location, date & time, and RSVP details. Once you click “Save” on a Gathering template you’ll receive a custom event flyer & social media tile with your building logo and event details within 1 business day via email.
